Olympic Indoor Tennis Club Announces 11 & Up Beginner & Advanced Beginner Tennis Lessons
The programs will begin the week of September 1st.
All Levels from Beginner to Advanced Beginner are offered Mondays, Tuesdays, & Fridays in 1/2 hour to 1 hour class times. The schedules are Mondays between 3:30-5:30 pm, Tuesdays between 3:30-5:00 pm and Fridays between 3:30-6:00 pm. Saturday classes are between 12-3:00 pm. There will be a maximum of 6 students/Pro for the hour classes and 3 students/Pro for the 1/2 hour classes. Students will be grouped by age. The 12 week sessions are $192.00/student and no club membership is required.
Advanced players will be able to participate in actual league play Saturdays or Sundays between 3:00pm & 6:00 pm.A Junior Membership will be required for league play. Learn more details on this program by calling 267-1213.
Olympic Women's 40 & Over 4.5+ Team Wins Sectional Title
The Olympic Age 40 & Over 4.5+ Ladies ARE MIDWEST CHAMPS! Another Olympic USTA team is headed to Nationals! 4.5+ over 40 ladies pulled it out today with some cards falling their way after 3 teams were 3-1! The gals will play in Indian Wells, CA from October 31st-November 1st. Picking up victories vs Wisconsin today in the deciding match were Pam Lippy in singles, and Dori Easdale/Michelle Jarrett & Julia Huffman/Kathy Kinnard in doubles.

Olympic 40 & Over 3.5 Women are District Champs!
The Olympic 40 & Over 3.5 team won all three matches by the score of 3-2 and advanced to state competition on August 9 at Mayfield Village Racquet Club in Cleveland.

2014 Bernard Master Team Columbus at Midwest Junior City Championships
The Columbus Team finished 2nd behind a team from Madison, Wisconsin (21-19) at the Midwest Junior City Championships.

Leveque & Schottenstein Win Bernard Master Doubles Classic!
Olympic members Colin Leveque and Eric Schottenstein won the Men's 55 & Over division at the Bernard Master Doubles Classic. The tournament was held July 12-13 at Elysium. Leveque & Schottenstein defeated Mike Dahm & Neal Newman 7-5 6-3 in the quarterfinals, #1 seeds Jeff James & Mark Schierenbeck 6-3 7-6 in the semis and Jeff Cempre & Doug Myser 6-3 6-4 for the title.

While this is the final season for the Olympic Swimming Pool after 76 great years, Olympic Indoor Tennis is alive and well! Our 38th season begins on September 2nd and we are looking forward to sharing our new lighting system and our new package pricing options with our great members!
